MAN V.S. MACHINE: WHO REIGNS SUPREME?
"Artificial Intelligence" has become the new buzzword of the 21st century as it impacts many different areas of our life. One such breakthrough would be the application ChatGPT, which is able to perform tasks such as composing code, producing essays and creating works. Its arrival has shaken the world at how it can easily screen through massive amounts of data on the internet to respond to the user's questions.
How do we ensure that we use A.I. responsibly and not cross ethical boundaries? In this age where A.I. has taken over customer service jobs, improved health care systems and arrested criminals, will A.I. only be a tool that amplifies human creativity or will it eventually triumph over humankind?

What is STREAMNOVATION?
Streamnovation is the combination of STREAM and innovation. STREAM stands for Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics. Innovation is about challenging assumptions or solving problems. It encourages thinking in a new way and not limiting ourselves to what currently exists or is widely accepted. Innovation is the driving force behind the inventions that have changed our world. Using STREAM as a core part of the innovation equation allows individuals to take thoughtful, deep looks at problems and create real-world applications for solutions.
LEVEL-WIDE CHALLENGE
For this year's Level Wide Challenge, students will be required to create a diorama or a masquerade to respond to the question: will Artificial Intelligence eventually dominate humankind? Students will present their stand on the issue in a creative and imaginative manner.
Diorama
A diorama is a replica of a scene, typically a three-dimensional full-size or miniature model. Students will showcase their stand through a diorama that can be created through mixed media and recycled materials.
Masquerade
Students will showcase the functions of their solution through innovative means in a masquerade performance, utilising handmade props.
Watch out for the Mystery Item in Term 3 Week 5!
Each class will be given a mystery item that they will need to incorporate in their diorama or masquerade performance. Bonus points will be awarded to the classes who are able to incorporate these mystery items creatively!
STREAMNOVATOR CLASS CHALLENGE
A fun challenge for the whole class to work together and participate in Streamnovation week activities! Points will be awarded when students complete the the level wide challenge, attend the afternoon workshops and talks, and take part in the asynchronous workshops! At the end of Streamnovation week, the top 3 classes from each level with the most number of points will win prizes and points for best class award!
